1. Air or saline with continuous or intermittent pressure is applied to the loss of resistance.
2. Current evidence suggests no difference in the success, efficacy or complication rates between the different techniques.
3. Familiarity with the chosen technique is more important for navigating to the epidural space or troubleshooting placement.
4. Treatment of pneumocephalus headache is usually symptomatic.
