Nor’azim is an intensivist with interests in fluids, electrolytes, and acid-base in the critically ill; and has highly cited publications in these areas. His work in these areas also leads to active engagement in domains of sepsis and acute kidney injury. He is currently the lead of the Malaysian Society of Intensive Care (MSIC) Clinical Trials Group.
Besides physiology and clinical teaching, his education portfolio includes facilitation of Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) and Patient Safety sessions.
