Dr Yap fell in love with intensive care medicine as a young anaesthetic medical officer in Sungai Buloh Hospital. After obtaining her Master’s degree in Anaesthesiology from University Malaya, she joined the malaysian intensive care Fellowship Programme and completed her training in 2020. She feels honoured to be part of a prolific team of intensivists, working in a top-class ICU.
During the lockdown, she has rediscovered the joys of playing the piano and now ticklaes the ivories to soothe her soul.
