Dr. Nor Fadhilah Shahril is currently an anaesthesiologist at the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), with a Masters in Anaesthesia & Intensive Care from University Malaya (UM). She has been attached to UMMC for 9 years since 2012, providing patient care in the operating theatres and the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She has always had passion in medical knowledge and currently pursuing interest in Intensive Care Medicine.
Dr Fadhilah was a Public Service Department scholar, graduated from University of Melbourne in 2011 with a double degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery as well as Bachelor of Medical Science. She later joined UMMC as a House Officer for two years and received a promotion as a Medical Officer in 2014.
She had actively contributed to the collection of medical research and journals including the effect of Mediterranean diet versus low fat diet for patients with coronary heart disease in Victoria, Australia during her medical student days. Dr Fadhilah was actively involved in community service projects, namely World Anaesthesia Day in 2019 that was held in Petaling Jaya aimed to gain awareness about the role of anaesthetists in the community.
In preserving work life balance, Dr Fadhilah ensures her physical, mental and emotional wellbeing are taken care of by maintaining physical fitness and spiritual health.
