Dr Kevin Ng

Dr Kevin Ng is an anaesthesiologist and medical lecturer with a love for quiet patients, a passion for teaching and a thirst for learning. His career in Anaesthesiology has brought him from the jungles of Borneo to the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur, and finally to the gilded halls of University of Malaya. He enjoys the intricacies of tying physiology to clinical practice and using the knowledge of pharmacology to take his patients safely through the perils of undergoing surgery. He is currently pursuing a fellowship in Paediatric Anaesthesia, where he hopes to continue to inspire his students that children are not that scary after all.

He is also keen on advocating better patient blood management in the perioperative patient. He has been working to improve the usage and conservation of blood perioperatively and is keen to move research forward in these areas.

In his free time, Dr Kevin works tirelessly to improve the welfare and working conditions of the medical fraternity, as a Council Member for the Malaysian Medical Council and Executive Committee member for the Malaysian Medical Association. His other interests include fishing and reading fanfiction.
